Kaunas Fortress

Kaunas Fortress is a valuable military heritage object composed of number of buildings that used to be a military complex. However, the complex has been derelict for many years. Only in 2005 it was included into list of public knowledge and usage by Ministry of Culture. Tourism operators got interested in Kaunas Fortress in 2000.

Hill Of Crosses

Almost each and every country has a pilgrimage center that is the central hub for many centuries. In Lithuania one of the most important pilgrimage centers is the Hill of Crosses. It is a depiction of Christianity and literally looks like its` name suggests - it really is a hill of crosses.

Trakai Castle

The historical capital of Lithuania is Trakai which is otherwise known as the ‘town of lakes’. Trakai town owns a unique castle which is the only one of its type in the entire Eastern Europe. The castle is surrounded by waters on all four sides and is called the Trakai Island Castle. Though constructed in 1410 just after the famous Battle of Grünenwald as a defense fortress, it was turned into a residence of Grand Dukes of Lithuania Vytautas and Kęstutis.

The Vilnius Cathedral is not only the one of the most beautiful architectural masterpieces of classicism style in the Capital of Lithuania, it is also a significant historic heritage that looks like keeping a secret of those who were in furtherance of the Cathedral to stand in the heart of Vilnius.
