Education
• 1991 – graduated from Kaunas University of Medicine;
• 1991-1994 – had residency in General Surgery in Kaunas university hospital of Kaunas Medical unicersity.
• 1996 – got specialization in reconstructive and plastic surgery
• 2005 – got a medical license as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Sweden
• 2009 - received a PhD in melanoma treatment

• 1999 – Ghent university hospital in Belgium;
• 2000 – Park-Klinik hospital in Germany;

Dr. Vygintas Kaikaris publishes articles in many medical journals and often patricipates in international medical conferences.

Dr. Vygintas Kaikaris was born in Anykščiai and grew up in Kaunas where also finished secondary school. He knew who he wants to become and what he wants to do in his life already when he was 16 years old. Surgeon Vygintas Kaikaris says that vocation in choosing profession of plastic surgeon is necessary otherwise you condemn yourself to work a job you do not want all life long. According to surgen Vygintas Kaikaris becoming a repspectable plastic surgeon takes at least 20 years. First 10 years you are studying while the next 10 years you earn trust and good name in society.
Surgeon Vygintas Kaikaris is one of the first surgeons in Lithuania to use interactive 3D simulations, the technology which helps to simulate the look after breast enlargement.
Dr. Vygintas Kaikaris is a member of International Confederation for Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery as well as a member of Plastic surgery society.
