Education
• 1998 - graduated from Kaunas Medicine University
• 2003 – had residency in General Surgery.
• 2005 – he got professional qualification in reconstructive and plastic surgery.
• 2005 – was awarded the Doctor of Medicine degree.
Dr. Kęstutis Maslauskas performs about 250 surgeries every year. He gained his experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries in such famous European plastic surgery clinics like Bursa university hospital in Turkey, Oviedo university hospital in Spain, Ghent university hospital in Belgium and others.
Currently dr. Kęstutis Maslauskas not only works as a plastic surgeon, but also holds a position of assistant professor in Kaunas Medical university. In 2005 he received a PhD in hand injury, he made a scientific research results of which were published in numerous medical journals as well as represented in various international conferences.

Dr. Kęstutis Maslauskas says that plastic surgery is an artistic field of medical sciences. Profession of plastic surgeon requires to be empathic, understanding, accurate, patient and precise. Discussing patient`s requirements and expectations, understanding patients` complexes and understanding how to solve them is one of the most important parts of plastic surgeons` work. During the first appointment surgeon Kęstutis Maslauskas tries to find out what does his patient want to change and why. If he find out that patient is not sure about what she or he wants exactly or in case of uneccesary changes the patient is thinking about, dr. Kęstutis Maslauskas tries to persuade the patient to refuse the surgery.
Mission – beauty
In 2011 surgeon Kęstutis Maslauskas took part in TV project „Mission - beauty“ where appearance of mostly female participants was dramatically improved with help of plastic surgeons, odontologists, stylists and other beauty professionals. This Lithuanian TV project was lead by big success. Dreams by many women were fulfilled in regard of surgeon Kęstutis Maslauskas. About 40 operations were made during the project. The cases which got the biggest societys` attention and performed by Dr. Kęstutis Maslauskas were reduction of giant breasts and apretty complicated rhinoplasty combined with chin lift.
Dr. Kęstutis Maslauskas says that when choosing participants for the project it was very important to find out whether the applicant is ready for changes psychologically and if changes are really necessary. In the end of the project surgeon came to conclusion that sometimes even minimal changes can significantly change peoples` life and self-confidence.
